Many of us have suffered those restless nights where we roll around while our mind is racing. We toss and turn and if your like me you end up getting up chugging warm milk and whatever else you can do to try and sleep. The next day your irritable, can’t focus, and unable to perform at 100%. After searching the internet and talking to professionals all over I found that these 4 simple steps helped me to have a deep resting sleep. 

No Electronics!

You probably are probably thinking that this guy is nuts, but this is number one for a reason. Set yourself up for success by removing your electronics from your bedroom. This should be the place you go when your ready to sleep, not watch t.v., play on your laptop, or phone. If you use your phone for an alarm clock, “STOP” and pick up an inexpensive alarm clock to keep in your room (analog preferably). Charge your phone in a different part of the room so your not tempted, and this will save you from going through your news feed first thing in the morning. By doing this you will notice that you have removed distractions that keep you from sleeping, and in some cases keep you from your spouse.
